Kwantlen’s School of Design program fosters the creative development of students pursuing fashion and technical apparel, marketing communication, interior and product design. Through a substantial donation, the school is in the process of building a new design center for its students.

To emphasize the school’s position at the forefront of technology, the approach is to incorporate digital technology in the more prominent opportunities for building signage and communication.

At each elevator landing, real-time data is projected - level identification, directional information, classroom activities, date/time/weather data, and a live feed of the sustainable building monitoring system.

To achieve a more integrated system, materials for signage mimic the materials and aesthetic of the building's finishes.
