ABOUT

I am a creative problem solver, thoughtfully combining visual and experiential aesthetics with effective communication. I create and implement communication design, environmental graphics and wayfinding projects for mixed-use, retail, commercial, hospitality, civic and education applications. My work satisfies both sides of my brain: creative conceptualization and development, balanced with hyper-analytical signage programming and construction documentation. This work provides the opportunity to collaborate with many inspiring clients, colleagues, artists, consultants and fabricators.

Given that great working relationships are key to the success of great EGD, I am always interested in building strong connections. Get in touch and let's talk about your project.

BACKGROUND

Born and raised in Texas, I was always an artistic and resourceful kid. I attended a performing and visual arts high school, where I explored the studio arts: drawing, 2D and 3D design, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, jewelry, graphic design, electronic media and art history.

Attending college in the North East, I began my studies with my love of art history, then contemplated the classical philosophers and finally threw in some mythology. The next handful of years, I traveled between the US, Canada and Japan, all the while focusing on floral design, landscaping, event planning and decor. In a two-year design program, I further developed my skill set training in graphic design, interior design, architecture and industrial design. I then joined an architecture and communication design firm in Vancouver BC, where my training and experience were put into full effect and honed over half a decade. Now based in Portland, Oregon, my tool box is filling up nicely, and I am fully equipped to take on projects of all sizes and complexity.
